Words To FROSTING

“Freedom is to stand alone, unattached and unafraid, free in the understanding of desire which breeds illusion” is my motto and it’s also the reason why I decided to make this film. Because this is my first English film, I knew it was going to a battle but I didn’t expect it was this hard. From the pre-production to production, like the protagonist in my story, the whole production team, especially key crews, went through so many crisis and re-discovered ourselves during making this film. I don’t know how many difficulties we have to face in the next four months, but I deeply believe we will get over all of them and make it comes out eventually. As I always said, this film is not only a BFA project, but also my child. Whatever people think of it, I will always love it because it evokes my enthusiasm, and let me realize film is the one that I can devote my life into it. This invaluable experience is my precious memory that will last well into the future.

Being apart of Frosting was such an amazing experience that, and one that I will cherish for a long, long time. The effort we put into this film truly shows. Through a ton of nurturing and support, and thirty plus rewrites of the script, we were able to not only see a realistic story grow in front of our very eyes, but we as individuals were able to dig deeper inside ourselves than we truly thought possible and as a result, we grew as well. For me, being apart of writing this film is just the icing on the cake. To have an opportunity to have worked with such driven individuals was a real treat. However this film is received, good, bad, or indifferent, a part of me will always remain an ingredient to what made this film possible. For that, I am truly thankful.
